This landscape drawing is the first I have drawn with a brush pen. This pen works like a school fountain pen with refill cartridges, except the tip is not a metal nib tip, but a brush tip, comparable to a 3 watercolor brush. The Brush Pen is tremendously easy when drawing because you can draw virtually without pausing. No sharpening, no wetting with water and paint or ink - the black ink runs continuously as long as you move the pen across the paper.

The forest landscape is based on a photo I took not far from Chorin Monastery during a walk in the forest. The special attraction lay for me in the fact that the drawing, which is purely black and white, looks and acts quite different from close distance than from a distance of 4 - 5 meters. As with the point pictures, the effect of the image changes fundamentally when approaching and moving away.
