The basis of this pen drawing is the small painting "The two chained monkeys" by Pieter Bruegel the Elder. It hangs in the Berlin Gemäldegalerie. I have made an ink drawing from the colored template, whereby the different gray scale values are created with the help of hatching and cross-hatching.
