I painted this picture for Dirk van der Meulen, who was my "professor" at the university at the time - when Baselitz had temporarily resigned his professorship. It shows a tree turned upside down with beautiful round orange-red apples hanging from it. An apple falls - because the tree is upside down, it logically falls upwards. Different laws apply in pictures than in physics. Besides, it doesn't fall far from the trunk ...
